We are currently recruiting Mining Engineers across North America, in both underground planning and production spaces. This role is based out of Calgary, Alberta (or another accepted province), offering the opportunity to work with top-tier North American operations. We are offering opportunities on a permanent basis, with favourable rosters.

The role:

You will assist clients with on-site engineering requirements, for example:

  • Assist clients with on-site production engineering requirements
  • Assist clients with on-site short to medium term planning & scheduling requirements
  • Complete various development designs as required
  • Assist in developing & implementing systems and processes to various mining operations
  • Complete stope design & optimisation work
  • Complete D&B design or planning work remote
  • Assist AMPS Senior Consultants with Client technical department optimistions & system implementations

About you:

  • Bachelors degree in mining engineering
  • Demonstrated understanding of mine planning, scheduling and production
  • Strong understanding of Drill & Blast, mine planning concepts and operational performance of underground mines
  • Passionate about learning new technical skills and a keen interest in improving your knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience with mine design software (Deswik, CAD packages, Drill & Blast scheduler etc)
  • A strong commitment to quality and safety in the workplace
  • Great communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills
