Environmental Services Worker

The Environmental Services Worker works collaboratively with the Director of Environmental Services and Maintenance to provide our residents with quality of life and attention, demonstrating professionalism and respect, adhering to policies and procedures while completing the tasks as outlined in the Environmental Services Worker job description.

Qualifications

• Grade twelve (12) or equivalent preferred but students can apply
• Must have related experience, preferably in a long-term care setting
• Experience in handling of Industrial chemicals, with current WHMIS (will provide)
• Ability and confidence to work independently or within a team
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Must be able to follow written and verbal communication
• Must demonstrate an understanding and caring attitude and ability to communicate effectively with people of various personalities and various levels of physical and mental functioning.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff in all departments at NQNH, family members and volunteers
• Must be physically able to preform the duties of the job

Schedule: Primarily days, evenings and weekends may be required.

Rate of Pay: (As per the collective agreement)
