Pay: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Evening/Night Shift - Some weekends
Shift: Evening (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) or Night (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Location: Ottawa East, ON

We are seeking an experienced AZ Shunter to join a well-established roofing client in the east end of Ottawa. This is a unionized environment, and the successful candidate will be the most junior Shunter and must be flexible to work wherever needed. The successful candidate will complete a minimum of two weeks of training on the day shift before transitioning to either the evening or night shift. Drivers operate a regular truck and must hold a valid AZ Driver's Licence, as travel on public roads is required between the yard and loading bays.

Key Responsibilities

• Move and position trailers within the yard and loading bays safely and efficiently.
• Facilitate the smooth flow of materials and equipment to support production schedules.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams to meet daily deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Contribute to overall project quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Valid AZ Driver's Licence (required).
• Air Brake Endorsement (required).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
