Our Calgary Office is hiring a multi disciplinary Field Technician to join our Materials Team.

Your main responsibilities

  • Perform field testing of concrete, including air content, slump, temperature, and compressive strength, with accurate reporting;
  • Conduct concrete coring and Schmidt hammer testing;
  • Carry out compaction testing of soils and aggregates;
  • Perform frost depth checks and other field inspections as required;
  • Complete daily field inspection reports with attention to detail;
  • Assist with pile inspections and maintain accurate pile logs;
  • Sampling of Soils and Aggregate for laboratory testing;
  • Support a variety of field and laboratory activities as part of a multidisciplinary team;
  • Participate in out-of-town projects as required
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.

What makes you unique

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology (considered an asset)
  • Experience in concrete testing, compaction testing, or pile inspection is an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a strong driving record
  • Quick learner with a positive, safety-focused attitude
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and occasional weekends
