Job description
Within Englobe's Metallurgy and Corrosion team, the Metallurgy Inspector works on specialized inspection mandates related to various infrastructures (bridges, buildings, transmission lines, oil tanks, telecommunications towers, etc.).
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong autonomy in a field environment, the ability to work on complex, multi-site projects, and sustained availability for extended assignments outside of Quebec.
He will be required to travel frequently across Canada to remote or isolated work sites (assignments of 2 to 3 consecutive weeks)
Your main responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of welding work according to applicable standards;
- Conduct non-destructive testing (MT, PT, UT) in accordance with recognized procedures;
- Assess the condition of assets based on procedures specific to various Englobe mandates;
- Perform quality assurance in the factory and on-site;
- Participate in specialized inspections of petroleum tanks;
- Rigorously document work and produce detailed technical reports;
- Strictly adhere to contractual and regulatory requirements;
- Actively promote health and safety practices at all work sites.
What makes you unique
- Experience required: 2 years of relevant experience;
- Education required: A college diploma in civil engineering technology or a related discipline;
- Must speak and write French or English;
- Valid driver's license;
- Canadian Welding Bureau Visual Inspector Certification (CSA W178.2 - Level 1 or 2);
- ONGC Level 2 Certification in Magnetic Particle Testing and Dye Penetrant Testing;
- ONGC Level 1 or 2 Certification in Ultrasonic Testing;
- ASP Construction Card;
