Job Summary
The successful applicant will be responsible for a wide range of audiologic services to a pediatric and adult population. Services to be provided will include standard audiologic assessments, pediatric assessments, auditory evoked potential assessments, ENG assessments, OAE assessments, cochlear implant assessment, aural (re)habilitation and hearing aid assessments, fittings and dispensing. This position reports to the Manager of Audiology, Eastern Urban Zone. The successful candidate may be required to work at other sites as requested. The Audiologist will be responsible to precept Audiology students and offer other clinical education experience to students within NLHS.

Regularly stands or sits to test clients, bends or may be in awkward positions to examine or insert devices in children or clients with limited mobility, and kneels or crouches to accurately insert ear mold impressions.
Regularly requires a higher-than-normal levels of attentiveness when assessing, treating and fitting client hearing aids.
Regularly performs repetitive work requiring alertness when conducting a hearing assessment of speech perception through repeated trials.
Time pressures to get assessments and referrals completed in very tight timelines.
Job Qualifications
Graduation with a Master's Degree in Audiology from an approved/recognized program.
Current registration with the NL Council of Health Professionals is required.
A valid Newfoundland and Labrador Class 5 Driver's License and the use of a private vehicle are conditions of employment.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
