Roller Operator

Job Title: Asphalt Roller Operator

Location: Grand Bay or Saint John, NB

Hours: 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $23.00/Hour to $25.00/Hour

Job Information:

This position involves operating asphalt roller equipment to compact and finish paved surfaces. It requires attention to detail, physical endurance, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions. Prior experience operating a roller is essential, and safety is a top priority in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Operate asphalt roller to compact freshly laid asphalt on roads, driveways, and parking lots.
• Inspect roller equipment before and after use to ensure proper functioning.
• Coordinate with paver operators and crew members for smooth workflow.
• Monitor surface quality and make adjustments to ensure proper compaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Follow site supervisor instructions and adhere to project timelines.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed on site.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating an asphalt roller.
• CSA-approved steel-toed boots and high-visibility safety gear.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job site.
• Physically able to work long hours outdoors.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
