Burin Family Care Team

NL Health Services Eastern zone invites expression of interest for full-time equivalent salaried Family Physicians at the Burin Family Care Team located in Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.

NL Health Services is the new Provincial Health Authority of Newfoundland and Labrador providing a full continuum of health and community services, including public health, long-term care, community services, hospital care and unique provincial programs and services. across the province.

NL Health Services Eastern zone is pleased to support its Primary Health Care Providers in achieving its goals of providing exceptional and high-quality care to patients in the Burin Peninsula region. The team within the Burin Family Care Team clinics include physicians, NPs, RNs including chronic disease nurse, clerical supports, LPNs, with additional supports accessible through the interdisciplinary programs, such as allied health, public health, community supports, and the mental health program. The Primary Care Clinic aims to provide continuity of care to improve health outcomes and patients’ quality of life.

We are seeking physician to manage a roster of patients. The ideal candidates will have a strong patient focus and excellent communication skills with a keen interest in practicing in a collaborative team approach. The successful applicant will provide care using the EMR platform.

All applicants must be licensed (full or provisional) to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador and must be granted privileges by NL Health Services Eastern zone.

Salary and benefits for this position are to be paid in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador. Starting salary will be based on years of clinical experience. Health and dental benefits are available in addition to vacation plus other various leaves including family and study leave.
