ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Program of NL Health Services – Eastern Urban Zone invites applications for a permanent full-time Anatomic Pathologist at Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, NL.
The successful candidate will join an established and collaborative Pathology team providing comprehensive anatomic pathology services in a tertiary care and teaching hospital setting. The position is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, and opportunities for teaching, research, and scholarly activities are available.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification in Anatomical Pathology (or equivalent)
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
- Must satisfy credentialing requirements of NL Health Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
- Fellowship training or subspecialty expertise considered an asset
- Eligibility for academic appointment with the Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador considered an asset
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-quality diagnostic anatomic pathology services including surgical pathology and cytopathology
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and tumour boards
- Serve as a subspecialty resource within the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Program
- Contribute to quality assurance and laboratory accreditation initiatives
- Deliver teaching and mentorship to medical students, residents, and laboratory trainees
- Participate in collaborative research and scholarly activities through the Memorial University affiliation
- Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements
REMUNERATION
As per Memorandum of Agreement
Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador, commensurate with level of training and experience.
