Job Summary
Reporting to the Brand and Philanthropy Manager and in collaboration with the leadership team and staff, the Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for the successful development and implementation of a province-wide volunteer program. They will work with the ASNB team to develop and implement an annual strategy for ongoing recruitment, engagement, and cultivation for all events and programs.

The position requires substantial effort to connect with, build community relations with, and engage targeted audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review, update and implement a volunteer program for the ASNB that is tailored to our needs
- Work with Brand and Philanthropy Manager to create and adhere to annual work plan
- Lead volunteer recruitment, orientation, training and retention
- Create and implement an annual strategy for volunteer recruitment based on the changing needs of the organization
- Provide administrative support to volunteer committees where required to support their activities. This may include (but not limited to) setting up and attending planning meetings, act as a conduit between volunteers and staff, ensuring compliance to ASNB policy, and support with etapestry and data entry for programs and events
- Complete regular performance measurement process with active volunteers based on best practices
- Evaluate success and effectiveness of program annually
- Ensure compliance with all Alzheimer Society branding, by-laws and policies
- Maintain relationships with community partners and volunteers
- Represent New Brunswick on National Working Committees as needed
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in hospitality management, public relations, or related field is a plus
- Experience in volunteer recruitment, management and stewardship
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write and speak clearly, succinctly, and in a manner, that appeals to a wide audience
- Experience working within professional networks and conducting outreach to business and civic groups
- Detail oriented with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet competing deadlines
- Creative and solution driven
- Able to work effectively in a team environment to meet goals
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Reliable, regular and punctual attendance at work during core business hours
- Strong computer skills, including database management
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
- Possess a valid driver's license and be available to travel
- Experience working in a non-profit is a strong asset

Annual Salary: $48,000.00 per year
