Overview

StFX is a top ranking Canadian university and we are seeking a Supervisor, Custodial Services to be part of the team at Facilities Management. Reporting to the Manager, Custodial Services, this position will be full time, 40 hours per week. The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to motivate others. They must also be skilled in problem solving, decision making and planning, with excellent knowledge of regulatory codes and requirements and of performance management. Candidates should be able to work flexible shifts to support a 24 hour continuous operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and maintain attendance records and vacation requests via UKG
• Inventory control: Responsible for ordering, receiving, recording and reporting of stock inventory, including internal distributions
• Coordinate schedules and activities, place orders for supplies and services and track progress
• Primary contact for custodial support requests from both internal and external clients
• Administrative duties including word processing, filing, work order creation, meeting coordinator and other tasks

Qualifications

• A diploma in Business Administration or equivalent with 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong financial data entry skills with attention to accuracy
• Proven track record of providing superior customer service in a unionized environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and superior organizational skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ability to learn new programs efficiently and thoroughly (TMA, MesAmis, UKG, Kinetic Software)
• Proven ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter
• Commitment to delivering exceptional value and great experience to customers
