Definition of Work:
We are looking for a Project Technologist to join our team and play a key role in project success ? from development to execution.

The Capital Planning, Infrastructure and Engineering Team manages a diverse range of projects spanning all disciplines of engineering. Our team works closely with internal stakeholders to develop project scope along with consultant?s and contractors to execute solutions for all healthcare users.

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Assist in scope development by meeting with facility management and staff (Physicians, Medical Staff, Patient Advisor?s, Ergonomics, Infection Control etc.)
? Assist in engineering design development and review of technical drawing and specification submission packages.
? Assist and direct project planning phases and contractor schedule review.
? Work in tandem with the Project Managers to develop and analyze project budgets prior to and during construction.
? Assist in the development and review of Request for Proposal documents.
? Compile/organize/catalog existing facility drawings and specifications.
? Coordinate project documentation (Award Certificates, Requests for Information, Change Orders, Completion/Close Out Documentation)
? Play a key role in the implementation and use of project management software.
? Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting to key stakeholders and management.

Required Qualifications:
? Degree or Diploma in Engineering or other technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience in construction/project coordination or management.
? Minimum 2 years? industry experience (project management, design or construction).
? Strong communication, management, and analytic skills
? Knowledge of construction industry including equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, quality, safety and building codes.
? Ability to self-prioritize and solve problems under limited timeframes.
? Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
? Team focused for collaborative success.
? Continuous improvement mindset.
? Willing and open to learn across multiple technical disciplines.
? Demonstrate and promote Person and Family-Centered Care.
? Experience in technical software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu/Adobe Acrobat, Procore) would be considered an asset.
? Experience in contract administration would be considered an asset.

Preferred qualifications:
? Class 5 driver?s license.
? Travel throughout the region will be required.
? Consistent demonstration of Central Health?s corporate values; Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Stewardship and Quality.
? A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
