Job Summary
Working within the Applications Division, the Computer Programmer/Analyst may be required to deliver programming and analytical expertise using technologies such as Meditech, Microsoft BizTalk Server/HL7 (Application Integration), Visual Studio.net, SQL, Microsoft Reporting Services, Business Intelligence Tools (BI). This position will act in varying roles within the Applications Division: collecting and analysing data; planning and coordinating the development and support of systems by assessing viability of user requests; liaising with Users and Vendors to troubleshoot various issues; and working with product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts to understand, aid in the creation of, refine, and implement product requirements and specifications.

Job Demands

Occasionally lifts objects up to 25 lbs., as well as occasional standing, walking, driving, bending, kneeling and stretching may be required.
Constantly performs fine finger/precision work while sitting and using a computer mouse.
Constantly requires visual concentration when designing and coding applications, debugging and troubleshooting reports/forms/scripts.

Job Qualifications
Graduation from a recognized university with a Computer Science degree or a Commerce or Business degree supplemented by a graduate diploma in Information Technology, minimum one year (900 hours duration) or from a recognized Technical College with a minimum three-year Computer Studies Diploma.
Three years? experience with programming and systems design is required.
Knowledge of Eastern Health?s core enterprise system ? MEDITECH, a strong background programming in web-based technologies and experience working in application integration (i.e. Microsoft BizTalk Server) are desirable.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
