POSITION: Long Term Care Assistant
STATUS: Casual
DEPARTMENT: Resident Care
HOURS OF WORK: 12 hour day shifts
RESPONSIBLE TO: Resident Care Manager
DATE REQUIRED: Immediately
POSTING DATE: July 31, 2025

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Long Term Care Assistant (LTCA) role is a temporary position responsible for providing assistance to residents with daily routines with the exception of personal care. The LTCA is responsible for providing oneto- one support with residents and for assisting with recreation therapy programs.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

1. Grade 12
2. Keen interest and experience working with the elderly population.
3. Ability to work as a team member and independently.
4. Good time management and problem-solving skills.
5. Good verbal and written communication skills.
6. Experience with dementia an asset.
7. Must display flexibility and innovation.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

SALARY: $18.77/hr
