NUTRITION EDUCATION COORDINATOR
The School Milk Foundation is seeking a REGISTERED DIETITIAN to join as the Nutrition Education Coordinator (NEC). The NEC will be responsible for presenting virtually to classes across the province on nutrition and keeping presentations up to date with the provincial curriculum, while seeking new ways to engage with schools on nutrition. The NEC will contact, communicate, and arrange presentation times with schools and remotely deliver the class presentations on milk, healthy eating, and active living. This is a part-time position of 17.5 hours a week.
The successful candidate should have:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or equivalent from a DC-accelerated university program and successful completion of a recognized dietetic internship program accredited by Dietitians of Canada is required.
- Must be a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Dietitians (NLCD)
Benefits include time off during school closure dates such as Christmas and Easter Breaks, and Summer. Previous experience in primary care or pediatric nutrition would be considered an asset. Fluency in French would also be considered an asset.
