and health outcomes for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians through acceptance of and interventions in social determinants
of health, and a higher quality health system that rebalances community, hospital, and long-term care services. Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Medical Imaging, the Zonal Medical Imaging (MI) Manager provides leadership, vision and
administrative oversight to the Medical Imagining Department. The Zonal MI Manager will be accountable for financial
management and budgeting; human resource management including professional development, human resource planning
and performance management activities; functioning as part of the management team to develop, implement and evaluate
strategic directions for Medical Imaging services; providing input and recommendations for Medical Imaging services,
equipment needs and purchases; as well as Risk Management, Patient safety and quality improvement. The MI manager
will ensure that policies, protocols, and standards are in place to support evidence informed practice. The manager will
provide clinical supervision and support to staff within the program, as well as operational support to program staff at
designated sites. The Zonal MI Manager is also responsible for the monitoring of wait times and developing strategies to
ensure that clients receive timely access to health services. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and

Education
Completion of a recognized program in Medical Radiation Technology or Diagnostic Ultrasonography is required.
Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Business, a health-related discipline, or other related discipline is required.
Education in healthcare management from a recognized/approved institution is preferred.
Education and/or certification in Project management is an asset. Experience
Minimum of five years of experience within the last seven working in multi-discipline Medical Imaging Department is
required.
Experience working in a leadership or management role is required, preferably in a health care environment.
