What you will be doing…
Working independently and supporting a high-performing remote team, you will provide confidential day-to-day administrative support for the Centre of Forest Innovation, the Program Director and other members of the team, you will:
- Ensure the daily activities of the Program Director and team are organized efficiently
- Provide administrative support for key events of the Centre
- Complete external bookings
- Process monthly expenses
- Assist in the preparation of all supporting materials for agendas, meetings, minutes, and presentations
- Respond to inquiries, initiate actions and respond independently when appropriate, and demonstrate independence and initiative in anticipating needs, while juggling multiple and competing priorities
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience.
- You have experience providing support to all levels, in a fast-paced environment
- You possess excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook. Experience with PeopleSoft would be considered an asset.
- You have proven experience with organizing and prioritizing a demanding workload while meeting deadlines
- You have demonstrated communication skills with the ability to translate information into clear and concise objectives that can be communicated to different audiences within all levels of an organization
- You have demonstrated experience with the coordination of projects, specifically with research, tracking and analysis
- Experience in project management would be considered an asset
- Experience in basic accounting would be considered an asset
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work
