Job Title: Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative
Location: Burlington, Ontario - Upper Middle Road & Appleby Line
Shifts: Days: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Saturday (every other Saturday shift is mandatory)
Rate of Pay: $21.00/h to start
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Hire
Our client in Burlington is hiring an Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative for their wholesale produce office. Qualified candidates will be available to work alternating Saturdays and have 2+ years of order processing and customer service experience. You'll assist with incoming orders, resolve issues, follow up with clients, and support the sales team in achieving targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and emails from customers
- Enter and process orders in tracking system and follow up on discrepancies
- Assist in identifying sales opportunities within existing accounts (upselling/cross-selling)
- Monitor inactive or low-volume customers and re-engage them with promotional offers
- Collaborate with sales, dispatch, and warehouse staff to ensure timely order processing
- Monitor customer satisfaction and escalate concerns as needed
- Resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, or product quality promptly
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar customer service or order desk / sales role
- Comfortable speaking with customers on the phone and in person
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Go-getter attitude and interest in sales-focused work
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
