Key duties include preventive maintenance, hands-on repairs, and safe operation of vessels, pumps, boom reels, and related gear, plus active participation in drills, exercises, and live responses. All work must comply with PTMS and EverWind policies, procedures, and safety standards. • Deploy to and support spill-response and shoreline-clean-up operations.
  • Participate in broader emergency-response activities as assigned.
  • Report all incidents, near-misses, and injuries immediately to the Marine Operations Manager
  • Following the Preventive Maintenance and Training & Exercise Programs
  • Perform other related duties as required

Physical Demands:

This is a hands-on, field-oriented role that requires:

  • Lift and carry up to 50 lb (23 kg) and drag or move up to 100 lb (45 kg)
  • Endure extended shifts during spill events or exercises, sometimes in harsh weather.
  • Work safely aboard small boats and outdoors year-round in rain, wind, cold, or heat.
  • Walk up to 2 miles (? 3 km) along the shoreline while removing oiled debris

Work Environment:

  • Field and shop settings with variable noise levels; hearing protection is often required.
  • Routine outdoor work in all weather conditions, including rough sea states.
  • Occasional travel for training or emergency response
  • Mandatory use of full PPE (respirator/SCBA, fire-retardant clothing, eye/ear/head protection, steel-toed footwear)
  • Must sustain a positive, cooperative attitude, demonstrate initiative, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
