The salary scale for Professional Support 2 is based on steps that range from $64,783.04 - $86,126.92. New Professional Support may receive up to a maximum of seven steps for relevant occupational experience which is $75,439.19 annually.

Responsabilités

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, Foundation and Alumni Relations, you will:

  • Coordinate the stewardship of the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency Growing Nova Scotia's Skilled Trades Initiative.
  • Coordinate various aspects of project work, financial and non-financial reporting, and ensure commitments related to joint initiatives between the NSCC Foundation & Alumni Relations, collaborating partners and the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency are met.
  • Lead the project working groups inclusive of Manager/Directors from other NSCC departments, to ensure all requirements of agreements are met and all information required for activity and financial reporting are received.
  • This position relies on good working knowledge of project management techniques, financial reporting and budgeting, and professional skills in support of the projects and program.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary diploma in a related field.
  • You have a minimum 5 years (full-time equivalent) of progressive experience in a project coordinator or project management role; specifically tracking deliverables, reporting, and documentation.
  • You have experience working with a Finance department in the development of reports and budgets.
  • Occupational experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:
    • Navigating a large organization and developing strong internal relationships.
    • Working with CRM or financial management systems such as Raiser's Edge or Financial Edge.
    • Working with the Labour Market Programs Support System (LaMPSS).
    • Donor and/or gift stewardship.
  • Certificate in Project Management would be considered an asset.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite and e-mail.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.

As a condition of employment, Professional Support employees at NSCC must complete a part-time adult education program delivered by NSCC. This adult education program is a significant investment on the part of NSCC in the learning and development of new employees. To achieve regular status; all probationary, full or part-time Professional Support employees of the College must successfully complete the program within their probationary period. Term full-time Professional Support employees whose term appointment is twelve or more months are also required to participate in this program.
