JMC HR Consulting is proud to partner with O'Brien Material Handling in their search for a Welder/Fabricator to join their skilled team in Memramcook, NB.

A leader in the design, fabrication, and installation of custom overhead crane systems, O'Brien Material Handling is known for delivering dependable, high-quality solutions for industrial clients across Atlantic Canada. The Opportunity

As a Welder/Fabricator, you'll be a key part of the production team-working on custom-built overhead crane systems and related components from blueprint to final fit. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, shop-based environment and is passionate about building things that last.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
  • Perform MIG (and potentially TIG) welding on structural steel and other metals
  • Cut, fit, and assemble metal components for crane systems and support structures
  • Operate fabrication tools including saws, torches, grinders, and plasma cutters
  • Inspect finished welds for quality, strength, and alignment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
  • Collaborate with the shop lead and installation team as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of welding/fabrication experience preferred
  • CWB certification or eligibility considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication and structural welding
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety
  • Physically capable of standing, lifting, and working with hand tools throughout the day
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
