The Opportunity
As a Welder/Fabricator, you'll be a key part of the production team-working on custom-built overhead crane systems and related components from blueprint to final fit. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, shop-based environment and is passionate about building things that last.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Perform MIG (and potentially TIG) welding on structural steel and other metals
- Cut, fit, and assemble metal components for crane systems and support structures
- Operate fabrication tools including saws, torches, grinders, and plasma cutters
- Inspect finished welds for quality, strength, and alignment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
- Collaborate with the shop lead and installation team as needed
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of welding/fabrication experience preferred
- CWB certification or eligibility considered an asset
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and structural welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety
- Physically capable of standing, lifting, and working with hand tools throughout the day
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
