Halifax Water is seeking a Term full-time Project Manager - Information Services to Corporate Services Department.

Responsabilités

As a key member of the Information Services Team reporting to the Manager, I&T Project Management Office, the Project Manager - Information Services will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. The Project Manager will be expected to liaise and coordinate with other departments and agencies to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide project management services related to corporate projects including project planning, budgeting, contract document preparation, quality control, documentation and reporting.
  2. Manage project staff and/or consultants according to the established policies and practices of the organization.
  3. Participate in a variety of management activities including hiring, performance management, discipline, budgeting processes and labour relations matters. Operating within budgets.
  4. Prepare scope of work documents and manage the execution of external consultant activities.
  5. Develop and maintain a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities and budgets. Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  6. Lead investigations and studies related to HRWC IT projects.
  7. Manage cross-departmental project teams in the delivery of IT projects, including work assignments, quality control and decision support.
  8. In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities.
  9. Liaise with consultants, contractors, developers, the public, elected officials, community interest groups, regulators, government representatives, stakeholders, and other related agencies.
  10. Assist with change management activities related to specific project implementation and to support on-going continuous improvement.
  11. Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for this position include a post-secondary degree in Information Technology orequivalent and PMP designation; combined with a Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience including direct supervisory experience or experience directing a team of technical or professional personnel. A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.

The incumbent must possess an ITIL Certification and a valid NS driver's license. Additionally, they should be willing to use their own vehicle in accordance with the Mileage Policy.
