Programmer Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who enjoys utilizing information technology to enhance business processes, likes working with people and has a strong focus on delivering business solutions that add value for the Corporation. Information Technology is a rapidly changing environment and you must be willing to continuously enhance your technical skills.

As a Programmer Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing our existing software systems, ensuring they run efficiently and meet the business requirements. You will work with internal clients on the investigation and analysis of system enhancement requests and assist clients in the use and application of software and troubleshoot reported issues. You will document your changes and any enhancements in a variety of ways (system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides).

Hydro's IT infrastructure includes a Microsoft environment, IBM Lotus Notes, IBM iSeries, web-based development, and business intelligence solutions. Experience in supporting .Net, Blazor, Microsoft Power Apps and supporting an Oracle JDE EnterpriseOne ERP system, SQL, Cognos TM1, Essbase and other budgeting and forecasting software are considered assets for this position.

What You'll Need:

You must have a university degree in a quantitative discipline (ie: Computer Studies) or an equivalent combination of education and training, supplemented with a minimum of three years of experience in computer system design, development, implementation, enhancement, training and support. You must also be able to work as part of a team, show initiative and innovation, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
