Martin Marietta, a leading supplier of aggregates and heavy building materials, is seeking a Lead Field Project Manager, Aggregates to oversee the largest capital project in the company's history - a $200 million processing facility rebuild in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, East Division, this pivotal role will lead on-the-ground coordination, field engineering, and construction support to ensure the successful execution of this landmark initiative.
The ideal candidate will bring 3-7 years of experience in construction or project engineering within aggregates, mining, or heavy industrial settings, and possess a strong understanding of scheduling, resource management, and interpreting technical documents. As the primary site representative, the Lead Field Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating contractors, managing equipment and logistics, resolving design conflicts, and ensuring quality control across all phases of the project. From leading daily crew dispatch to reviewing construction drawings and addressing site issues, this role requires a hands-on leader who can operate independently and communicate effectively across field teams, vendors, engineers, and management. Experience working in union environments, creating field documentation, and supporting job costing and estimating efforts is considered a strong asset.
