Salary Range: $46,975-57,447 (37.5 hours/week)

Position Description

The Residence Services Coordinator plays a key analytical and administrative role in organizing and coordinating annual residence room assignments for the University. It maintains statistical records, designs reports, analyzes data, and improves systems as needed. The role requires expertise in specialized software (Banner, X-Reports, Blackboard and MS Excel) to ensure accuracy. It also manages student meal plan accounts and coordinates the ordering, tracking, repair, and cleaning of residence inventory, working closely with the Manager of University Housing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the online room assignment system (KX), coordinates the room assignment process on an annual basis and maintains the inventory of rooms. Manages wait lists and transfer lists.
  • Maintains student accounts related to food and residence fees. Fields student inquiries related to meal plan options, student accounts and Blackboard (meal) accounts.
  • Maintains a student damage report by house recording work order information, individual & common area damages. Apply student damage fees to student accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Develop and maintain inventory database and long-term plan for inventory control and purchasing; Help to improve system for damage recording, billing, reporting and communication; Assist with room and facility inspections.
  • Coordinate year opening and closing duties.
  • Coordinate and plan around unique student groups with specific needs

Qualifications

  • University Degree or equivalent preferred. IT degree an asset or acceptable combination of qualifications and experience
  • 3-5 years office or analyst experience
  • Skilled at working with specialized software programs, i.e. Banner, KX, MesAmis
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is mandatory
  • Ability to prioritize high volumes and working pro-actively with minimal supervision
  • Must be organized and efficient with excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
