Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Brand and Philanthropy, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will lead and support our marketing initiatives and enhance our brand presence across multiple platforms. This role involves content creation, social media management, campaign support, and internal/external communications.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing and Communications

  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of internal and external marketing and communications activities, contributing to an annual communications strategy that aligns with the ASNB's strategic plan
  • Create compelling content for a variety of channels, including social media, website, newsletters, press releases, brochures, and donor materials
  • Coordinate the production of marketing collateral and promotional materials, working with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
  • Assist in the promotion of programs, events, fundraising campaigns, and awareness initiatives
  • Support media relations efforts by drafting press releases, building media lists, and tracking media coverage
  • Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) including developing and scheduling engaging content and monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and mentions
  • Identify and report current or anticipated risks or emerging issues that may impact the communications plan or organizational reputation.
  • Collaborate with staff across departments to gather and share impact stories, program updates, and strategic priorities
  • Support internal communications efforts, including drafting internal updates, managing shared communications tools, and helping to maintain organizational alignment
  • Monitor and ensure brand compliance in all areas of activity
  • Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with brand standards

Administration and Professional Development

  • Assist in administrative duties or responsibilities that may be necessary in the overall plan of ASNB such as reporting, data entry, and tax receipting
  • Participates in provincial and national activities when requested, including collaboration with Federation Partners, representing New Brunswick on National Working Groups
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and all team members to ensure person-centred approaches to all activities of the ASNB.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization by inspiring staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to embrace the mission and values of our society.
  • Travel as required

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or a related field - or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with Not for Profit organization
  • Sensitive to the impact of Alzheimer's disease on the individual and the family
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience managing and creating content for social media platforms, including scheduling and analytics tools
  • Proficiency with digital content creation tools, including Canva (or similar design platforms) and basic video editing software to produce engaging visual and multimedia content
  • Experience using marketing and communications platforms, such as social media management tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social), email marketing services, and website content management systems
  • Must be approachable, have solid communication skills and a warm positive attitude with active listening skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Possess a valid NB driver's license and be available to travel within the region
  • Ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours as required
  • Intermediate French required

Annual Salary: $48,000.00 per year
