Job Opportunity: Administrative Assistant (Health & Safety)
Location: St John's NL
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hourly Rate: $20-$23 hourly
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team in a multi-faceted role that combines administrative support, health & safety coordination, and quality assurance oversight. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with both internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems
- Code and enter general expense invoices daily
- Prepare daily bank deposits
- Provide backup coverage for switchboard operations during breaks
- Process invoices for materials, freight, and outsourced services
- File supplier invoices as needed
- Cross-train with other administrative roles to support departmental coverage
- Assist with additional administrative projects or tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Experience in accounts payable or general accounting is a strong asset
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry
- Strong time management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficient in computer and office software applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, professional, and courteous demeanor
Preferred Experience:
- 1-2 years of prior office experience
- Basic understanding of manufacturing business cycle transactions
