Salary range: $47,189.45to $53,580.19 annually

Responsabilités

Working in a shared workspace encompassing both Student Services and the Business Office, the successful candidate will be collaborating in a dynamic environment with staff across multiple areas. Reporting to the Manager of Administrative Services you will:

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the campus Business Office sufficient to develop recommendations, oversee assigned functions (e.g. accounts receivable, student financials, data entries, T2202s, invoicing, PCI Compliance, etc.)
  • Resolve non-routine administrative problems, advise, and determine the applicable policy, procedures, and requirements (e.g. develop recommendations to support the efficient implementation of assigned functions)
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational workflow of the Business Office ensuring smooth workflow and efficient functioning of assigned tasks.
  • Determine when issues require the attention of a higher-level manager and escalate those issues and their impact; suggest possible solutions.
  • Complete payment processing, student loan processing, create payment plans, deferrals, sponsorship coordination, invoicing, withdrawal letters, outstanding balance collections, and respond to general student account queries.
  • Provide daily direction and guidance to administrative support staff by determining work methods and procedures, provide training, and monitor activities to ensure timely and effective operations.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary diploma in Business or Office Administration.
  • You have a minimum of three years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in a fast-paced, office environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, multi-task, and meet deadlines is an asset.
  • Demonstrated analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Experience within finance, accounting, and/or a student services environment is an asset.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience with ability to communicate effectively and courteously within a diverse environment is an asset.
  • Occupational experience using PeopleSoft Student, SAP or other account management software would be considered an asset.
  • You are comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, and have a strong, demonstrable knowledge of Excel, and SharePoint.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology, and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
  • Experience training others would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in an educational environment supporting and/or providing services to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.

  • Demonstrated initiative and a commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes and project objectives.
  • You have specific technical occupational knowledge and skill in account analysis and reconciliation, cash, and/or other records.
  • You possess excellent coordination skills specifically related to organizing and prioritizing workloads for yourself or others.
  • You have proven records and information management skills and abilities with a focus on data accuracy and integrity, along with a drive to improve efficiencies.
  • Demonstrate problem solving abilities and an ability to work independently.
