The opportunity
The Learning Manager (LM) oversees the deployment, planning, and delivery of service line and sub-service line programming. They will also oversee Cross Service Line learning initiatives as this role promotes overall synergies with the firm's learning strategies. The LM also contributes to a range of learning operations functions, including learning administration, vendor management, and budgeting. This role needs to effectively balance working very independently and overseeing the work of onshore and offshore team members. The LM applies a consultative approach to address business needs with learning team members and the practice on a regular basis.
This role works with and reports to the Learning Business Partner to formulate the CBS learning strategy and create deployment plans for specific CBS competency groups, as well as broader Cross Service Line (CSL) initiatives. Additionally, this role is responsible for the project management of any CBS or CSL learning events. A successful candidate will have strong project management skills and experience with learning compliance.
Your key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Learning Business Partner to execute the CBS and CSL L&D strategy, including conducting needs assessments with business and talent leaders on a continuous basis
- Responsible for translating competency-specific needs into processes around learning, program delivery, and determining how needs will be met (timing, format, location, technology required, etc.)
- Lead the development and deployment of net new programming, including onboarding and working with Subject Matter Resources, and curating available resources as needed
- Identify target audience and oversee roster management for learning programs
- Oversee end-to-end vendor management including onboarding, BRIDGE setup, contracting, content customization, and ensuring high-quality program delivery through continuous feedback
- Collaborate with our Global and Americas learning teams, as well as regional leadership for the successful rollout of curated learning programs
- Lead Train-the-Trainer and facilitator preparation meetings as required
- Organize and participate in post-session debriefs with facilitators (and other stakeholders) with a focus on continuous improvement
- In cases of in-person learning events, responsible for the end-to-end planning, and deployment of complex onsite, offsite, hybrid or virtual learning, as well as networking and social events related to those programs
- Monitor annual budget for select programs, reviewing invoices and ensuring accuracy of coding before sending for approvals and payment
- Oversee the work of L&D team members supporting the CBS and CSL learning

Ideally, you'll also
- Stellar project management, time management, and prioritization skills, able to coordinate multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously and meet demanding timeframes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
- Strong vendor and facilitator management skills, working closely with providers of non-technical learning.
- Proven ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed team members, indirect team members, client serving personnel at executive levels and support staff.
- Demonstrated ability and confidence working with technology and learning new software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple groups across learning and the business.
- Strong coaching, consulting, and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Must have proven track record of successfully juggling competing priorities, multiple projects, and senior stakeholder with varying perspectives.
What we look for
- 5+ years of experience in a program management role
- Experience working with an LMS (preferably SuccessFactors) a plus
- Proficient in advanced capabilities in Excel (use of pivot tables and v-lookup) and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Zoom, MS Teams, Office 360 and SharePoint
- This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and professionals nationally and globally. Professional competency in the English language is therefore a requirement of this role. Bilingualism in both French and English is considered an asset.

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $92,300 to $153,800 Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
