Pay Details:

$91,200 - $136,800 CADThis role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

Job Description:

The Data Designer III should bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions; working closely with technology and business teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of data solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; Works autonomously and may be relied upon to coach / educate others.

  • In-depth experience working with very large datasets and familiarity with big data technologies.

  • Gather and translate business data extraction and consumption requirements into technical specifications.

  • Collect, analyze, and map/transform data into consumable formats through incremental requirements refinement and functional testing.

    • Perform impact analysis, gap analysis, reverse engineering.

    • Apply standards and best practices to ensure that the mappings are complete, consistent, and accurate.

  • Analyze data issues and work with development teams to resolve issues. Provide recommendations for improving data quality and data integrity issues.

  • Ensure metadata and data lineage is captured and compatible with enterprise metadata and data management tools and processes.

  • Understand business and technical design, ensuring that data mappings align to business needs.

  • Maintain foundational knowledge of upstream data, including knowledge provided through data profiling, data quality reporting, and via the production of metadata.

  • Support the acquisition and ingestion of data.

  • Adhere to best practices for data security, ensuring both technical and business aspects are protected from common vulnerabilities.

  • Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.

Off-shore

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; Works autonomously

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate and/or 4 Year Degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ Years of related experience

  • Good communications skills

  • Experienced in Agile, onshore/offshore delivery model.

  • Strong database querying skills, knowledge/experience in Azure Data Bricks

  • Preferable Knowledge/ Experience in MDM solutions
