Halifax's leading, award-winning, restaurant group, The Bertossi Group, is seeking the expertise of a results oriented Human Resources Manager. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resource Manager will lead day-to-day HR operations while providing administrative support for the company.

Responsibilities

As Human Resources Manager, reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you'll get to:

• New Talent Acquisition; assisting with creating and posting job opportunities, candidate sourcing, interviews, reference checks, employee offers.
• Support in scheduling and delivering new hire onboarding training sessions, and collaborate closely with Executive leadership & payroll to ensure new hire onboarding is completed accurately and timely.
• Maintaining accurate personnel records filing, managing sensitive and confidential information and being point person for inquiries for HR related information and issues.
• Processing Atlantic Immigration Program applications & additional IRCC documentation, and employment letters.
• Leading Joint Occupational Health and Safety (JOHSC) programs, assisting payroll with benefits management, as well as Worker's Compensation Board paperwork.

What we're looking for:

• Undergraduate degree; certificate or diploma in HR Management.
• At least 4-5 years experience in progressive Human Resources positions, working with large teams.
• Prior experience in the hospitality industry is an asset, but not required.
• Effective communication and relationship building skills.
• A commitment to confidentiality & employment standards.
