This position will include Shift Work. Shift work at Oxford Frozen Foods is a rotating schedule of two weeks of days and two weeks of nights. This rotation includes every other weekend off. Specifics regarding the schedule will be reviewed with applicants.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and independently
- Troubleshoot and perform moderate repairs in a highly automated factory
- Conduct Preventative & Predictive Maintenance inspections and repairs
- Collaborate with maintenance teams for timely repairs when necessary.
- Maintain a clean work environment
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum Grade 12
- Red Seal Journeyman Industrial Mechanic / Millwright would also be considered an asset, applicants with other related trades will be accepted.
- Stainless steel welding and fabrication experience would be considered an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset
Desired Skills and Abilities
- Electromechanics: Repair automated mechanical systems
- Test, operate, and maintain robotic and automated packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot computer-controlled production equipment
- Possess technical understanding of automated production processes operating through a PLC.
- Ability to keep mechanical equipment operating safely and effectively
- Knowledgeable in using meters to diagnose electrical circuits
- The ability to work shift work
