Halifax Water is inviting applicants for One (1) Regular and One (1) Term Full Time Application Administrator in the Corporate Services Department.This is a unionized position in the CUPE local 1431. As an IS Application Administrator, you will:

  • Be responsible for the installation, configuration, support and maintenance of Halifax Water's Enterprise Applications.

To do this job, you need to have:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology
  • Five years of experience as an application administrator
  • ERP experience is an asset
  • Hands on experience with the following:
    • Microsoft Window Operating System environments,
    • Knowledge of application data privacy practices and laws,
    • Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL,
    • Experience with the administration of business applications,
  • ITIL Certification (or willing to obtain with 6 months of being hired)
  • Certification in one of the following:
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
    • Microsoft Certified SharePoint Administrator
    • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst
    • Equivalent certifications or experience may be considered
  • A valid NS driver's license and access to reliable transportation
