Department Overview

The Pricing Analytics team is dedicated to leveraging advanced data analytics to develop sophisticated predictive models that drive strategic decision-making across all phases of the Property and Casualty Insurance lifecycle. Our mission is to optimize risk selection and maintain market leadership through data-driven insights and innovative solutions.

Job Description

As an Actuarial Analyst working within the Pricing Analytics team, you will collaborate with actuaries, data scientists and applied machine learning scientists in delivering cutting-edge analytical solutions alongside the TDI Pricing team. You will contribute to designing and implementing end-to-end machine learning solutions, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model architecture design and inference pipeline development. In this role, you will help challenge conventional approaches and participate in reframing business problems through an innovative lens. You will support the team in leveraging cutting-edge methodologies and technologies to transform traditional insurance use cases into breakthrough solutions.

Job Description Summary

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated actuarial predictive models using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms
  • Collaborate with Pricing teams to understand business requirements and present findings to stakeholders
  • Support model governance efforts and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Monitor model performance and implement improvements based on emerging techniques and business needs
  • Manage multiple modeling projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining detailed technical documentation

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of actuarial experience in Property & Casualty insurance
  • Bachelor degree in Actuarial Sciences or related field
  • Proficiency and interest for programming, preferably python
  • Base understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their practical applications in insurance contexts
  • Advanced analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Client-focused and aptitude for teamwork
  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to varied audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Autonomous and perseverant; shows initiative and creativity in their work
  • Recognized for their thoroughness and the quality of their work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marked progress on professionnal actuarial exams (CAS or CIA)
  • P&C pricing experience
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of modern data architecture and big data technologies (Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, etc.)
