Definition of Work:
Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NLHS) is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join the Provincial Practice Improvement team in a clerical support role. Reporting to the Provincial Director of Practice Improvement, the successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of high-quality, standardized healthcare practices by supporting team coordination and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of operational records. This position involves performing a variety of administrative duties in support of provincial clinical practice and related improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include maintaining effective office systems and workflows, preparing high-quality documentation, coordinating meeting logistics?including detailed minute-taking?and managing communications with stakeholders. The Clerk IV may also be responsible for processing claims and invoices related to funding and sponsorship, requiring a solid understanding of the business unit?s operations.
The role involves exercising independent judgment to prioritize tasks, organize work efficiently, and manage a diverse workload. Proficiency in a wide range of computer applications and document preparation is essential, along with clear and professional communication skills.

Required Qualifications:
? Successful completion of a 3-year Business Management Program
? Recent experience in administrative support with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health care operations.
? Demonstrated ability to work independently.
? Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality.
? Demonstrated effective communication and organizational skills.
? Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
? Demonstrated ability to be able to exercise initiative and good judgment, as well as the ability to work with the public and clients with tact and diplomacy.
? Proficient in the use of computers and software such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

? A satisfactory record of performance and attendance is required for this position.
? A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
