Senior Freight Forwarder Opportunity
The Senior Freight Forwarder role focuses on communication and operational efficiency within logistics. Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or relevant job training
- 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding
- CIFFA Professional Freight Forwarder designation is beneficial
- Knowledge of trade rules and regulations
- Supervisory experience is essential
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with customers and carriers
- Manage shipment processing accurately
- Prepare customer quotations
- Obtain and negotiate carrier rates
- Lead junior staff in day to day operations
- Maintain good relationships with clients and vendors
- Provide after-hours support if needed
- Accurately process customs/freight documents
