Senior Freight Forwarder Opportunity

The Senior Freight Forwarder role focuses on communication and operational efficiency within logistics. This position requires supervisory skills, accuracy and coordination of complex freight activities to support the company's objectives. Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or relevant job training
• 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding
• CIFFA Professional Freight Forwarder designation is beneficial
• Knowledge of trade rules and regulations
• Supervisory experience is essential

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers and carriers
• Manage shipment processing accurately
• Prepare customer quotations
• Obtain and negotiate carrier rates
• Lead junior staff in day to day operations
• Maintain good relationships with clients and vendors
• Provide after-hours support if needed
• Accurately process customs/freight documents
