Key Responsibilities:
NL Hydro is currently seeking a Records and Information Management Assistant to join the Corporate Information Management Team. This position will support corporate information management (IM) initiatives and assist in implementing the Information Management Program across the organization. Working closely with the IM Team, the successful candidate will provide education and raise awareness about information management legislation and best practices across departments and regions, ensuring proper IM procedures are followed. Responsibilities include completing records inventories, digitizing records, participating in projects to transfer records to electronic document management systems (EDMS), supporting the retrieval and disposal of records, and offering day-to-day IM advisory support and guidance. The role also requires a high level of personal initiative and sound judgment in organizing and leading activities related to assigned responsibilities.

What You'll Need:
The ideal candidate will hold a college diploma in a related field, including specialized coursework in Records and Information Management (RIM), or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with document management systems is required. Experience with data migration and importing to/from EDMS platforms such as Content Manager and Omega365 is desired. The candidate should be familiar with records inventory processes, classification and retention schedules, and the setup and maintenance of electronic document management systems. Knowledge of the Management of Information Act, the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and other relevant IM standards is essential. The successful applicant must be able to work effectively under pressure in a high-demand, customer-focused environment and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
