The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Asset Monitoring Centre Analyst to join our Maintenance Engineering & Reliability Team in Long Harbour, NL. Relocation to the province of Newfoundland & Labrador will be required for this role.

This is a permanent on-site position, working a 4x10s Monday to Thursday schedule with a potential to transition to a rotational schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off at the Long Harbour Operations site in Long Harbour, NL.

As an Asset Monitoring Centre Analyst you will be responsible for condition monitoring data collection and analysis within the facility. The primary goal is to continuously improve equipment performance and reliability through the adoption of world class condition monitoring principles, proven reliability tools, and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies on equipment. Your experience and skills will interface with Maintenance and Operations personnel to ensure plant efficiency is optimized without impact to safety, the environment, or the community.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Participate in the development of vibration inspection and analysis programs in the facility
  • Analyze equipment health through ultrasonic inspection, infrared thermography, lubrication analysis, and vibration analysis to aid Reliability Engineers/Advisors and Maintenance personnel in problem identification and troubleshooting.
  • Perform ultrasonic lubrication, laser alignments, oil collection for oil analysis, and collect vibration data.
  • Execute all approved inspections and maintenance work orders in accordance with maintenance procedures with respect to work methods, resource requirements, materials, and established scheduling deadlines.
  • Utilize established Work Management systems to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of work and the system to continuously improve work procedures.
  • Ensure all inspections are properly documented and captured in SAP for follow-up including escalation of deficiencies which may present safety, production or environmental concerns.

About You

Education:

  • An Interprovincial Red Seal or Engineering Technologist certification in a mechanical field is required.
  • A Vibration Analyst Certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Condition Monitoring, Reliability, Vibration Analysis or hands-on technical maintenance work and/or supervision in a complex industrial setting.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience in the field or on-the-job training of machinery condition monitoring.

Skills:

  • Excellent organization, communication (written and oral), as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Able to build and maintain strong positive relationships across multiple work groups.
