Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:00 am - 4:00 pm | 36.25 hours per week (Summer Hours)
Additional Working Conditions:
- Must be able to travel independently between campuses as required.
- International travel is required as part of this position.
- Evening and weekend work is required.
Salary Range: $54,015 - $70,220 per annum (as per July 1, 2025)
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Director, International Recruitment Centre, the Graduate Student Recruitment Officer meets prospective graduate student inquiry, application, and enrolment targets by developing close working relationships with key global stakeholders, including prospective graduate students, parents, agent partners, alumni and others.
This position also collaborates with other members of the student recruitment team and with the School of Graduate Studies.
- Support the development and implementation of a graduate recruitment strategy aligned with unit-wide targets.
- Develop application and inquiry targets for UNB's graduate programs.
- Report regularly to the Director on activities, lead generation, and progress toward goals using the CRM system.
- Assist in developing a pre-qualifying process for prospective graduate students.
- Generate prospective student leads and applications through a range of activities and events.
- Attend education fairs and visit agent offices and partner institutions.
- Plan and deliver presentations on UNB to prospective students and key influencers.
- Plan and participate in recruitment events such as Future Student Nights, information nights, campus tours, open house events, and student send-off events.
- Host and participate in virtual recruitment events, online video sessions, and 1:1 virtual meetings with prospective students.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective graduate students through events, meetings, calls, emails, and presentations.
- Prioritize graduate recruitment events while supporting other recruitment officers and territories as directed.
- Build strong relationships with agent partners and other influencers; plan and attend events to support these partnerships.
- Research and monitor competitor activity to stay informed on trends in the graduate recruitment space.
- Represent the Recruitment Office on university committees as needed.
- Liaise with faculty and staff across both campuses to stay current on program, policy, and service updates.
- Enter and manage prospective student inquiries in the database.
- Assist with promotional material development and related research activities.
- Support additional recruitment initiatives as directed by the Director.
WHAT YOU BRING
- University degree, preference will be given to UNB degree holders.
- 3 to 5 years experience working in the Post Secondary Education sector
- Previous sales or relationship building experience.
Additional Strengths:
- Master's degree is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge or proficiency in one or more foreign languages, would be considered a strong asset.
- Good existing knowledge of UNB and its program offerings is considered an asset.
- Self-motivated and dependable with exceptional people skills, excellent communication skills (speaking and writing), dynamic presentation skills and be committed to providing high levels of customer service.
- Strong cross-cultural interpersonal skills and the ability to work in multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to act on decisions quickly and meet tight and time-sensitive deadlines and targets.
- Ability to plan and work independently and as part of a team.
