21FSP Advisory is seeking a full-time Research Analyst to join our team in Halifax, NS. The successful candidate will support our projects by providing high-quality research, analysis, and strategic recommendations. We are looking for a skilled researcher with strong analytical, writing, and communication skills to contribute to our projects across a variety of sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using a range of methodologies (data analysis, stakeholder engagement, secondary research) to gather insights and data to inform client strategies.
- Analyze research findings and synthesize them into clear summaries
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality reports, presentations, and visualizations for clients.
- Support the design and execution of research activities such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and case studies.
- Support business development activities, including preparing proposals and conducting market research.
- Help develop tailored research approaches and methodologies for specific client needs.
- Contribute to strategic insights and recommendations that guide clients in addressing key challenges.
- Work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, humanities, economics, business, public administration, or related fields. Experience or interest in areas such as systems transformation, economic development, or social policy is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to summarize complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data analysis software. Advanced MS Excel data analysis capabilities is required for this position and there will be a skills validation test.
- Experience in both primary research (e.g., interviews, surveys, focus groups) and secondary research (e.g., literature reviews, policy analysis).
- Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including Indigenous and other equity-deserving groups.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Previous experience in research roles or consulting settings is an asset, but not required.
