PAL Technical Services is seeking a Quality and Safety Supervisor to work under the direction of the Senior Quality and Safety Manager to ensure effective control over our quality and safety programs. The successful candidate would require strong leadership qualities, the ability to set priorities in a multi-priority environment and ensure all departmental quality and safety requirements are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Senior Quality and Safety Manager, assess and distribute work assignments and responsibilities to the quality and safety team.
• Support departmental quality and safety requirements to ensure all program requirements are met.
• Monitor quality and safety system performance, ensure departmental quality and safety objectives are implemented.
• Maintain internal audit program, ensure audit resources are applied as required and review completed audits to ensure they comply with applicable standards
• Provide support and guidance to quality and safety team members to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
• Review employee productivity and performance to ensure they meet departmental requirements and recommend improvements to meet quality and safety standards.
• Evaluate processes and recommend alternative procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular meetings with the quality and safety teams to help foster teamwork and consistency.
• Create regular reports highlighting KPIs and areas that require improvement.
• Review completed quality and safety reports to ensure they are completed with all required information.
• Support the development of training materials, policies and procedures to support the respective departments.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in quality assurance/control and workplace safety
• Demonstrated experience with ISO standard management systems.
• Understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental management practices, principles, and procedures.
• Experience with audits, inspections, and compliance standards (local, national, and/or international)
• Successful completion of a diploma/degree/certificate required, quality or safety management diploma or certificate an asset.
• Excellent administrative skills
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft suite of products
• Effective use of time management and setting priorities to balance workload and team administrative support requirements
• Communication skills necessary to work effectively within the maintenance team as well as with internal company departments
• Must meet company security requirements
