Purpose:


Maintains GWO Settlements & Clearing for Securitizations; ensuring daily operations, business strategies, projects and initiatives are delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Ensure that Global Banking and Markets' (Scotia Capital INC), Group Treasury strategies and priorities assigned to GWO are understood and has systems, processes, controls, and infrastructure in place to support it. This includes, Asset backed securities (Credit Cards, Auto Loans, Line of Credit), Mortgage backed securities and Debt Securities (Covered Bonds).

Work closely with the Manager to provide product information and ensure business objectives are achieved.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:


• Work on Settlement activities for the GWO Securitizations team to keep the operational level at BAU.

• Backup on operational coverages for vacation periods and periods of short-staffing and statutory holidays.

• Maintains a high-performance environment and people strategy that attracts, develops and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment.

• As SME provide feedback to manager on creating operational efficiency and improvement. To align with the Banks Expectation.

• Collaborate with peers to identify best practices and controls that can be implemented within the team to achieve success.

• Participate at all stages on all relevant technology and regulatory projects/initiatives which may affect the GWO Securitizations team.

• Provide feedback to Manager on significant risk, inherent in assigned operating units for identification and to set up controls.

• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:


• Experience in Accounting/Finance field.


Work Arrangement:


• Work in a standard office-based or temporary remote environment between core operational hours 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
• Occasional weekend support for project or testing can be required
