OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We are seeking Senior Clinical Healthcare Consultants to support our client's healthcare technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging gaps between clinical workflows and technical deployment.
This opportunity is open to both full-time salaried employees and independent contractors. These positions are hybrid and will require some travel throughout Nova Scotia.
WHAT YOU LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:
- Act as a key liaison between clinical stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Contribute to the development and verification of clinical location inventories, stakeholder registries, and workflow documentation.
- Translate complex system workflows into clear, practical guidance for clinical staff unfamiliar with the solution.
- Assess and recommend clinical device requirements based on workflow needs and established protocols.
- Provide support for non-clinical device assessments and implementation readiness.
- Identify potential risks and dependencies related to clinical integration and device deployment.
- Strengthen health data reporting by enhancing analytics frameworks to support data-driven clinical decision-making.
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:
- Clinical background in hospital, clinic, or allied health settings (e.g., nursing, therapy, or clinical operations).
- Bachelor s in Nursing, Public Health, Health Care, Public Admin, or similar.
- Prior experience with Oracle Health/Cerner implementations or similar Clinical Information System.
- Comfortable working with health IT systems, especially in contexts involving system implementation or change initiatives.
- Experience supporting clinical teams through change with limited project exposure, including building awareness and adoption.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to evolving information, and deliver results in dynamic healthcare environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building trust across clinical and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, IT specialists, and policymakers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving healthcare outcomes.
- Proficient in documenting workflows, creating process maps, and developing structured support tools to guide teams.
- Exposure to healthcare transformation projects or large-scale system rollouts is preferred.
- Experience bridging clinical and technical teams in health IT or digital health projects would be an asset.
