Intermediate IT Operations Lead

Role Description:
The Intermediate IT Operations Lead is responsible for providing daily technical support, and maintenance for hardware and software.
Responsibilities include:
- Assemble, image and configure workstations, laptops and servers according to client IT project specifications and details
- Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting of hardware, software, and networking issues
- Perform support fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and application
- Monitor ticketing system (Fresh service) to ensure timely resolution of tech support issues
- Document any and all changes to technical environments
- Follow existing check lists to ensure a consistent result for routine and common tasks within our proactive IT management services
- Proactively access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases t to aid in tech support problem resolution
- Assist IT Managers and Regional Team with any tech support issues requiring remote assistance
- Act as a backup to the Local IT Manager when required
- Other duties as assigned as assigned by upper management.
- Perform scheduled updates and patches to environment when required.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, or equivalent;
- 2+ years experience in a similar IT role;
- Experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues;
- Experience using asset inventory and software deployment tools;
- Strong competency with usage of MS Windows computers and servers, Active Directory, Azure, Teams, and Exchange Online;
- Able to support a variety of mobile devices;
- Demonstrate knowledge of IDS/IPS tools;
- LAN, WAN, VPN, routing and switching experience;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Effective verbal and written communication; and
- Performs comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, shifting priorities as needed on a daily basis.
