Meridia Recruitment is excited to partner with Stella's Circle in their search for a Director of People and Culture. This senior leadership role will oversee all aspects of human resources while also providing strategic oversight to the Employment Services Division-an integral part of the organization's social impact model. This is a unique opportunity to shape people-centered strategy while leading a team that directly supports participants in achieving employment and educational success.

What You Will Do:

  • Organizational Leadership & HR Strategy: Serve as part of the senior leadership team, guiding HR practices and policies that reflect Stella's Circle's mission, values, and commitment to inclusion and social impact.
  • People, Culture & Operations: Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, performance management, compensation, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and compliance. Lead initiatives that support employee engagement, wellness, DEI, and staff development.
  • Employment Services Oversight: Lead the Employment Services division-including Adult Basic Education and related programs-ensuring alignment with strategic goals and positive community impact.
  • Program & Risk Management: Develop and evaluate employment and education programs, support staff training, and ensure organizational compliance with OHS, privacy, and risk management standards.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced & Credentialed Leader: Hold a degree in HR, Organizational Development, or related field (CHRP/CHRL and graduate education are assets), with 7-10 years of HR experience including senior-level leadership.
  • Strategic & Inclusive: Known for your collaborative leadership, you bring a values-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to both people and program management.
  • Adaptable & Committed: Comfortable working outside of regular hours when needed, you're responsive, solutions-focused, and aligned with Stella's Circle's social justice mission.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and the ability to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check.
