Fredericton Playhouse is seeking a detail-oriented, creative collaborator with a depth of experience in communications, data-driven consumer marketing, and digital/social media strategy to join our team as Marketing and Communications Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Growth & Development, the Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for the development of Fredericton Playhouse's brand and the management and distribution of the organization's external communications. The successful candidate will also lead the organization's brand transition to the Hawkes Centre for the Arts, Fredericton's new performing arts centre set to open mid-2027.

The Marketing and Communications Manager works collaboratively with executive and senior management to develop messages, materials, target audiences, and distribution opportunities for all Playhouse/Hawkes Centre programs and services, including presentations, education and outreach, fund development, corporate communications, volunteer program, patron services, ticketing, and rental services.

Our ideal candidate is/has:

• A degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent
• 3-5 years of demonstrated progressive experience in a similar role
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects at the same time; excellent planning, time management and decision-making skills
• A high energy collaborator and team-builder with supervision experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to audiences
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office 365 and an aptitude for learning new technology applications; strong data management skills
• Advanced understanding of social media engagement
• Foundational understanding of graphic design fundamentals
• Basic understanding and appreciation of the public value of the performing arts

The starting salary range for this position will be between $58,928 and $76,607 annually and will be based on the successful candidate's experience and training.
