Position Overview:

The Visual Designer – Flyer Program is responsible for designing visually compelling, organized, and brand-aligned layouts that support The Home Depot's digital flyer initiatives. This role requires a strong foundation in layout design, visual hierarchy, and production efficiency, with an ability to bring marketing messages to life through structured and engaging creative. Experience in flyer creation is a strong asset, and success in the role depends on thoughtful execution across devices, platforms, and marketing channels. The designer will collaborate across teams to uphold and evolve The Home Depot's brand standards through every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design digital flyer layouts that balance promotional hierarchy, clarity, and aesthetic appeal
  • Create and iterate on marketing banners, promotional modules, and other campaign assets
  • Develop user-centered wireframes and screen mockups as needed for flyer experience integration
  • Create supporting visuals including logos, icons, infographics, and graphic treatments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, UX, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to ensure aligned execution
  • Source and organize imagery from internal DAM systems and stock libraries
  • Build and maintain production-ready assets across multiple breakpoints and platforms
  • Use and maintain design system components and pattern libraries for consistency
  • Support the development and maintenance of style guides and flyer-specific design standards
  • Design and author content within a CMS (content management system) environment
  • Adapt assets for various screen sizes, channels, and digital placements
  • Balance multiple projects with shifting timelines while effectively managing expectations and priorities

Hybrid Work:

  • Beginning in September, role is required 4 days in office at SSC

Working Conditions:

  • Working in an office setting: computer work, camera on virtual meetings, taking support calls

Minimum Education:

  • University/College degree in a related area of study, or equivalent experience.

Minimum Years of Work Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in graphic/digital design

Minimum Leadership Experience:

  • Previous leadership experience an asset

Certifications:

  • None

Other Requirements/Assets:

  • Experience with Avatar plugin in InDesign considered an asset.
  • Experience with Jira considered an asset.
  • Advanced capability in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Bilingual (English/French) will be considered an asset
