Responsabilités

What you'll do…

As an Admissions Services Specialist, you are a specialist in client satisfaction, knowledge management and facilitation for prospects, applicants, students, and internal and external partners of NSCC.

Enthusiastic and passionate about the NSCC experience, you will:

  • Employ a high level of communication, positivity, ownership, organization, and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to contribute to student success and the success of the College as a key force in the economy and quality of life in Nova Scotia.
  • Be responsible for both inbound and outbound verbal and written communication that fosters a quality experience for our clientele.

As a first responder in the Admissions Contact Centre, you will:

  • Represent NSCC in building strong relationships.
  • Develop and convey a deep, rich knowledge base on NSCC programs, practices, services, and policies, and will be considered a subject matter expert for people wanting information about the NSCC experience.
  • Embrace and capitalize on new processes, technologies and systems designed to improve the client experience and contribute to a culture of service excellence, and you will play an integral role in fostering and influencing existing and developing new service initiatives.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary diploma in Business, Office Administration, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline.
  • You have a minimum of two years of recent and related occupational experience providing exceptional service in a client focused environment.
  • Occupational experience in a post-secondary environment would be considered an asset.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft outlook and Microsoft Excel. Experience with PeopleSoft would be considered an asset.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.
  • You have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in a contact center environment would be considered an asset.
