Demands, duties, qualifications | Job Summary The Administrative Officer I (Classifications) works as part of the team to support the classification functions of NLHS. This role will have a specific focus on providing support to the organization’s goal of having all management positions classified by the Classification and Pay Equity Division of Government. The AOI will be the primary point of contact for all management classification project inquiries and requests, while supporting strategic initiatives relating to the advancement of the project through the various stages, including the distribution of resources, position description writing, organization and collation of documents, preparation of classification files and submission packages for government. This position will support the Sr. Human Resources Consultant assigned to this project and will be expected to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of NLHS and well as external partners and government departments. Job Qualifications Education Completion of a recognized/approved three-year Business Management Program/Office Administration (HR Concentration is preferred). Courses and proficiency in MS Office, Internet and various other computer applications are required. Experience A minimum of three years' experience within the last five in a progressively responsible administrative role is required. Considerable experience meeting deadlines, while maintaining a high level of productivity, accuracy and efficiency. Experience in HR Technology, database management would be an asset. Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Knowledge of employment legislation, collective agreement administration and recruitment best practices and procedures. Knowledge of account reconciliation. Demonstrated strong organizational, customer service and interpersonal/communication skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, organizational and time management skills. Ability to work with limited supervision within tight time lines, and to work effectively within deadline driven team-orientated tasks. Ability to multi-task and be a critical thinker. Ability to handle multiple projects, under pressure and respond appropriately within deadlines. Other A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required. |
