Halifax Water is hiring a Senior Manager, Asset Management and Capital Planning as we continue to advance our Engineering and Capital Infrastructure Team.
As the Senior Manager, Asset Management and Capital Planning, you will report to the Director, Engineering & Capital Infrastructure and you will lead Halifax Water's Asset Management practice and Capital Planning functions.
What the Asset Management and Capital Planning Team does:
- Supports Halifax Water's corporate Purpose, Vision and Strategic Objectives through Program level asset management, Infrastructure master planning, Data engineering program, and Capital budget development.
- Partners & Collaborates with Engineering & Capital Infrastructure, Operations, Corporate Services, Environment, Health & Safety, Halifax Regional Municipality, and other External Partners
As a Senior Manager, Asset Management and Capital Planning, you will:
- Lead a team of professionals who are responsible to ensure that Halifax Water undertakes the appropriate regional planning and asset analysis to enable Halifax Water to sustainably meet the demands of growth, compliance, and asset renewal.
- Be a key advisor to the executive leadership team and Halifax Water Board on matters of regional planning, asset management and capital budgeting.
- Responsible for guiding a capital budgeting process that is consistent with the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and meets the requirements of the Halifax Water Board and Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board (NSRAB).
To do this job, you need to have:
- A post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered).
- A Professional Engineer designation.
- A Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) designation (or willing to obtain)
- Seven years of progressively responsible related experience in a municipal engineering field.
- Direct supervisory experience.
